Days go by and the case of 18-year-old Debanhi Escobar continues to be shrouded in mists and rumors, oblivious to concrete progress. The latest news of the disappearance of this young woman indicates that she allegedly entered the Alcosa transport company, which is located a few meters from the place where Debanhi was last seen.
The Attorney General's Office of the State of Nuevo León is working on the review of the security cameras of the places to which Debanbhi had access. Despite this, citizens remain vigilant about what happened to the main architects of the case: their friends and the driver who abandoned them in the middle of the Monterrey-Nuevo Laredo highway camellon.
The relatives of the disappeared woman have explained that the friends who accompanied Debanhi to a party at the fifth Venice, in the municipality of Escobedo, have been questioned on multiple occasions about what happened in the early morning of April 8.
Debanhi, who is 11 days missing this Tuesday, was last seen on a camellon on the road to Nuevo Laredo. She got there after going to a party, where she was involved in a lawsuit of friends. According to her companions, they left and a driver from a transport platform would take Debanhi home.
The driver said that Debanhi was very angry and began to grope so he decided to leave her on a camellon. He got her out of the vehicle and took a picture of her, which would later be the only clue as to the young lady's location. The plot and the photograph have been important so that the driver was not arrested.
A week ago, family, friends and civilians began a day of search to find Debanhi's whereabouts. For the case, at least three businesses have been investigated, which may have information. These are the Nueva Castilla motel, the Orugatools company — where an open sewer was found — and the company Transportes Internacionales Alcosa.
A tour by independent journalist Victor Badillo, shows the fifth where Debanhi was located. According to the communicator, from the site to the camellón there are 18 private security cameras that were able to capture the young woman's route.
Debanhi's father has detailed that since his daughter's case went viral on networks, he has received extortion calls asking him for money in exchange for the girl's whereabouts.
The name Debanhi Susana Escobar was not the only one to have aroused a wave of indignation over the missing women in Nuevo León. In the state governed by Samuel Garcia, they also echo the identities of Allison Campos, Yolanda Martínez, among others.
