The secretary general of the Peru-Libre party, Vladimir Cerrón, spoke on his social networks about the curfew decreed by the President of the Republic Pedro Castillo yesterday at almost midnight , which follows a curfew from 2:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. and mentioned that the only peaceful solution is to apply a Constituent Assembly.
“The only permanent and peaceful solution for the country is a Constituent Assembly, where social classes reach consensus, abuse and discrimination end. We warn you: If there is no change of Constitution in the country, there is no change of anything!” assured.
In addition, he reaffirmed that it is the right wing that “activated” the stoppage of carriers because they lost “the battle in Parliament”.
“The right wing lost the battle in Parliament and, taking advantage of a strike by peasants and transporters, activated a criminal political, judicial and social front, against the President, who unfortunately gave an advantage by not implementing the government program he promised in the campaign,” he continued.
He ended by mentioning that “with a single leftist policy well implemented, the right wing would be licking its wounds.”
“I wouldn't have time to think, conspire, let alone execute, but the President gives them all the advantage, mistakenly thinking that the 'good' right-wing could exist,” he said.
More than a week has passed since the transport strike began in the country, on April 1 President Pedro Castillo gave a message through his official Twitter account, mentioning that the demands will be addressed, through dialogue.
“We know that there are urgent demands to be addressed, but it will be difficult to resolve them without the will for dialogue and purpose of amendment. Brothers transporters, I pledge to seek solutions together for the benefit of all,” he said.
However, thousands of carriers of both heavy cargo and public transport and taxi are on the streets in regions where no curfew was imposed, taking tolls and acting violently.
The latest update of the transport strike occurred in Ica, who at approximately 10 am continue to block the Pan-American South on the stretch of kilometer 260.
