La pression s’accentue sur le CIO. Après avoir été contraint en février 2019 d’assouplir la règle 40 de la Charte olympique sur la publicité pendant la période des Jeux, l’instance internationale est attaquée sur un autre front : la liberté d’expression.
L’organisation mondiale Global Athlete, dirigée notamment par le pistard écossais Callum Skinner, a écrit dimanche 14 juin au CIO et à l’IPC, son pendant paralympique. Elle s’est prend directement à l’un des piliers de la Charte olympique : la règle 50 sur la neutralité aux Jeux.

The Refugee Team for the Olympic Games was announced
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) unveiled this Thursday its largest refugee Olympic team to date for the Paris 2024 Games, with 36 athletes from 11 different countries. The athletes, some from Syria, Sudan, Iran, Afghanistan and Cuba, will compete in 12 sports.
