Update on upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers

Following consultation with CONMEBOL, FIFA has decided to postpone the upcoming South American qualifiers for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 as follows:

• Matches originally scheduled to take place during the international window of 23-31 March 2020 are postponed to later dates

• Details of the postponed matches will be discussed and announced soon

FIFA will continue to assess the situation in relation to COVID-19 and will decide whether further changes to the schedule of South American FIFA World Cup 2022 qualifiers are required, always with the aim of protecting the health and safety of all individuals involved.

Información sobre los clasificatorios de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA

Luego de consultar con la CONMEBOL, la FIFA ha decidido posponer los clasificatorios sudamericanos de la Copa Mundial de la FIFA Catar 2022 como se indica a continuación:

· Los partidos que estaban previstos para disputarse durante el periodo internacional del 23 al 31 de marzo de 2020 se han aplazado

· Los detalles sobre los partidos aplazados serán discutidos y anunciados próximamente

La FIFA continuará evaluando la situación respecto a la COVID-19 y decidirá si conviene introducir otras modificaciones en el calendario de los clasificatorios sudamericanos para el Mundial de la FIFA de 2022 con el fin de proteger la salud y seguridad de todas las personas involucradas.
