A few days after the popular consultation on the Revocation of Mandate, the National Action Party (PAN) asked the National Electoral Institute (INE) to investigate and punish the head of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob), Adán Augusto López, for “breaking constitutional order and diverting public resources for private and partisan purposes , moreover, for exhibiting the National Guard as one of the government's electoral instruments.”

Through the official account of the political party on Twitter, a strong message was shared against the consultation that the president of Mexico plans to hold next Sunday, April 10, which they described as another deception of the current government and the alleged austerity that Andrés Manuel López Obrador has endeavored to defend.

Similarly, Marko Cortés Mendoza, president of the National Action Party (PAN), announced that the PAN bench will not allow a regressive electoral reform that goes against the National Electoral Institute (INE), an institution that consider that the government of Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the Movimiento Regeneración Nacional party (Morena) have constantly attacked because of the “autocratic desires” of the Tabasco president.

“With the results of the investigation carried out by the INE, we are going to file all the corresponding complaints about the use of public resources, for violating the Constitution and exhibiting the National Guard to engage in partisan politics,” added Marko Cortés Mendoza.

In the same statement, the leader of the National Action Party (PAN) accused the federal government and the cherry party of violating the constitution in a widespread and systematic way, from the president of the Mexican Republic to public officials such as governors and mayors of the entities governed by Morena. In addition, he accused the Undersecretary of Public Security, Ricardo Mejía Berdeja, of abandoning his duties amid the security crisis that crosses the country to dedicate itself to presidential and partisan propaganda.

“The government, faithful to its lying and manipulative nature, is continuing its great farce, which will definitely fail because its maneuvers are already very crude, so much so that they do not excite anyone, not even their own, that is why they are so desperate, using the entire apparatus of the State to attract voters,” said the leader of the Action Party National (PAN).

On the eve of the popular consultation on the revocation of mandate, the head of the Ministry of the Interior, Adán Augusto López, promoted to the north of the country said democratic exercise arguing not only that he had the authorization of the president of Mexico to do so, but also that he was not afraid of the sanctions that the National Electoral Institute (INE) might impose on him.

Augusto López assured that if in any of the excesses of the INE they chose to dismiss him from his position, he would stand on the corner of Pino Suárez and Niños Héroes streets to say that it was an honor to have him run for supporting Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The action of the head of the Ministry of the Interior was strongly criticized by opposition personalities among whom the names of Denise Dresser dazzled, However, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador defended Adam Augusto López López during his morning conference, arguing that the trips undertaken by the Minister of the Interior are solely intended to fulfill his duties.

In addition to defending the Minister of the Interior, Andrés Manuel López Obrador accused the National Electoral Institute (INE) of lacking impartiality since, he assured, the body only sanctions “those who are in favor of transformation” and not detractors who call for not participating in the consultation on April 10.

“The INE, the judge, has not acted righteously. There are elements that only those who are in favor of transformation are prevented from participating. Those who are openly calling for people not to participate are not questioned,” he said during his morning conference on Monday, April 4.
