Tokyo, 30 July 2021 – The Tokyo Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (Tokyo 2020) is pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at promoting collaboration and facilitating the sharing of information concerning anti-doping measures in the lead-up to and during the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The Memorandum was co-signed by the International Paralympic Committee, the Japan Sports Agency, the Japan Sport Council and the Japan Anti-Doping Agency.
The establishment of anti-doping processes is an important step towards the smooth operation of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The Memorandum aims to facilitate the exchange of information and expertise in the field of anti-doping with the cooperation of relevant organisations in Japan and overseas, in order to ensure the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games will be a clean competition.
Tokyo 2020 will work together with all relevant organisations to further enhance anti-doping activities and to realise clean and fair events.
