(ATR) Online voting is open to choose the official emblem of the Milano Cortina 2026 Olympic Winter Games – an Olympic first.

The general public across Italy, and around the world, have the chance to vote for one of two designated logos via milanocortina2026.org or the Milano Cortina 2026 App. Dedicated social media channels proclaim: "Let’s Make History Together."

Two final logos were unveiled by Milano Cortina 2026 ambassadors Alberto Tomba and Federica Pellegrini on stage at this past weekend’s San Remo Italian Song Festival, broadcast by the Italian network RAI.

Belarus Olympic Chief Barred from Tokyo

(ATR) The putative president of the Belarus Olympic Committee will be barred from credentials for the Tokyo Olympics.

Saying it was "greatly disappointed" over the failure of the NOC to fully comply with demands that Belarus athletes should be protected from political discrimination, the IOC Executive Board is refusing to accept the recent election of a new president and two other NOC leaders.

The decision of the IOC EB came at a virtual meeting Monday.

Centro Caribe Sports to Visit Mayaguez

(ATR) The Central American and Caribbean Games of 2022 face a race against the clock due to the pandemic.

On March 8, Around the Rings learned that leaders of Centro Caribe Sports (formerly ODECABE) will travel to Puerto Rico this coming week for an essential meeting with the new Governor Pedro Pierluisi.

The president of CCS, the Dominican Luis Mejía Oviedo, and the temporary president of the New Headquarters Commission, the Mexican Jimena Saldaña, will make the trip.
