The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has appointed Kristina Molloy as Chief Membership and Impact Officer. During the 2010 Winter Games she led the Paralympic and Olympic operational planning in Vancouver.

“I am thrilled to be joining the IPC to support its progressive vision and ambitious agenda,” said Molloy. “As a long-time friend and supporter of the Paralympic Movement, my experience with athletes and members, with the Paralympic Games and with advancing the disability inclusion agenda will align well with the important work ahead.”

Molloy joins the IPC in a newly created role on April 1, 2022. She has previously held various leadership roles within the Canadian government, advocating for disability inclusion in the Paralympic movement.

Prior to joining the IPC, Molloy served as the policy director for The Honorable Carla Qualtrough. A two-time Paralympian herself, Molloy had established Canada’s first-ever federal accessibility legislation.

Mike Peters, the IPC’s Chief Executive Officer and two-time Paralympian, said: “It is fantastic for the IPC and the wider Paralympic Movement that we have recruited someone of Kristina’s caliber. She is already familiar with the Paralympic Movement and is highly regarded by many of our members due to her previous work in advocacy and inclusion, and in covering major events.”

In her new role, Molloy will report to Peters and lead the IPC’s Membership Engagement and Membership Programs, as well as Government and Institutional Relations. She will also oversee the development of the IPC’s legacy initiatives.
