(ATR) Organizers of the Tokyo 2020 Games today unveiled Canon as their latest sponsor.

As a Gold Partner, the Tokyo-based company is the third top-tier sponsor of the 2020 Olympics. Canon becomes the official "Still Cameras and Desktop Reprographic Hardware" provider of the Games.

Welcoming the deal, Tokyo 2020 president Yoshiro Mori said Canon’s products "will capture and reproduce breathtaking images of the world’s leading athletes in full flight and record these for posterity.

"They will play a crucial role in communicating the wonder and inspiration of the Tokyo 2020 Games."

Canon joins Asahi Breweries and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp as top domestic sponsors of the Games.

Those deals were inked last month.

Tokyo 2020 is seeking to raise more than $1.3 billion from domestic sponsors.

The IOC's TOP sponsors for the 2020 Olympics are Coca-Cola, Atos, Bridgestone, Dow, GE, McDonald’s, Omega, Panasonic, Procter and Gamble, Samsung and Visa.
