The milestone 10th edition of the most diverse and exciting sports show on television, Sports United, goes on-air on Euronews tonight at 20.45 CET. This week’s episode features Australia regaining their status as world champions in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, a special look at the sport for sambo, an in-depth understanding of the bow in archery and a lot more. With the airing of the 10th episode, Sports United has featured content from 35 Olympic and non-Olympic sports federations, drawn from the large sports family composed of ASOIF, AIWOF, ARISF and AIMS members.

"Sports United was intended as an equal-opportunity platform for all of SportAccord’s members. We are pleased to have provided an opportunity to a large number of sports to showcase their events, athletes and features on a platform as immense as Euronews, thus attracting new and additional viewership to their content. This is only possible with to the cooperation of the International Federations, who have trusted in us and allowed us to develop the platform in the weeks gone past," said SportAccord President Marius L. Vizer.

Marking the 10th week of the show, Euronews CEO Michael Peters said, "Sports United is unlike any other sports show on television where it is not uncommon to see a non-Olympic sport as a top story. The reception of the show thus far has been incredible and we believe that the partnership with SportAccord will help us tell many stories of athletes and sports who have so far not been able to get a regular platform for showcasing their achievements."

The first episode of Sports United went on-air on January 29, 2015 at 20.45 CET and the show is broadcast in over 150 countries and 415 million households globally. Sports United is broadcast in 13 language editions of Euronews every Thursday night and is repeated on a regular basis till Friday afternoon, thus accumulating over 100 reruns on the network. The show is also available online on the SportAccord Sports Hub on YouTube every Friday.
