The common denominator is the need for better governance in sport. FIFA steals the attention, but how bad are the governance structures in international sport broadly speaking?

That will be revealed next Sunday when Play the Game’s governance expert Arnout Geeraert launch the first full-bodied report on governance in all 35 international Olympic federations.

Throughout Play the Game 2015, a great variety of sports governance issues will be discussed. From the IOC's reform programme Agenda 2020 to the FIFA scandal that is currently unfolding and a discussion of what role the FIFA confederations have had in it.

The conference will also discuss a number of government efforts in stamping out corruption in their national sports federations and look at how the Council of Europe has engaged in the fight for better governance in sport.

It is last change to register for Play the Game 2015 if you want to join the debates that will once again gather the world’s most eminent experts, activists, whistle-blowers, journalists, politicians and sports officials.
