After three successful seasons of LOL: Last One Laughing, Eugenio Derbez will return to challenge a new group of comedians who will try to face all obstacles and fight at all costs to get anything from a light smile to a big laugh from his teammates to lift the long-awaited trophy. On this occasion, the reality show will not only feature the special participation of another member of the Derbez dynasty, it will also bring together veterans with new comedy figures in Mexico.
A few days ago, the protagonist of No Returns Accepted confirmed a new edition of the hit Prime Video show and, as expected, shared the congratulations with his social media followers very much in his style: “For the fourth season of LOL I bring the best reinforcement, will it be that two heads detect laughter better than one? ”.
This is none other than José Eduardo Derbez, who on this occasion will participate as co-host of the show. Father and son will join forces to try to make the new contestants uncomfortable with their occurrences and avoid going unnoticed any smile no matter how small it may seem.
The news caught social media users by surprise, who expressed their point of view in the comments section. Some were happy about the long-awaited collaboration because in recent years the protagonist of Mi Tío de has positioned the public's liking for his roles in Renta Congelada and La Parodia, in addition to his personality that was exposed in De viaje con los Derbez.
However, others pointed out that his participation in the reality show would correspond to the alleged nepotism and favoritism of his father. So far, the actors have not given any statements about it and continue to promote the fourth season of LOL through their social networks. Thanks to this, it is known who will be the new elements that will be part of the project and not only that, everything seems to indicate that the stormy challenges will have to be overcome as a couple.
Juan Carlos El Borrego Nava and Juan Carlos Casasola were the first to be confirmed. Mexican comedians excelled in Guerra de Jokes (2008) with Radamés de Jesús and, since then, they have often been related in different projects. As part of the promotion of the reality show, Eugenio Derbez shared some fragments of the peculiar interview he had with his colleagues and, with laughter, joked about the closeness they have had during their career.
“He doesn't laugh at my jokes anymore,” lamented the 53-year-old fellow driver. “Well, you don't renew yourself, Borrego, we're going to celebrate the 100 performances of that joke,” Casasola replied. Later, each one recognized what he likes about his companion: “Those eyes of sheep half-dead,” he said. “Those half-sold eyes of Casasola,” Nava added.
The controversial friends who are apparently inseparable will have to fight against a couple of drivers who for several years have managed to win the love of the public with their occurrences at La Corneta and what does it matter! , is Eduardo Videgaray and José Ramón San Cristóbal better known as El Estaca.
The world of stand up will be presented by Isabel Fernández and Karla Camacho, two Mexican comedians who, in addition to their live performances, have also ventured into YouTube with programs such as When Nobody Sees Me and Should Ask for.
Within the same turn are Alexis de Anda and Ray Contreras, who appear on the podcast Imaginary Friends and The Journey, respectively. So far it is unknown who makes up the last couple of contestants, but it could be revealed in the coming days. It is worth mentioning that the fourth season of LOL: Last One Laughing will be available from next May 6 on Prime Video.
