Since Monica Cabrejos revealed nationally that she was a victim of rape in 2020 and that 13 years ago a television producer harassed her sexually when he worked on the program 'Public Enemies', the name Martín Arredondo began to be in the eye of the storm.
All these events were reported in her new book 'Public Mujer, 'and despite the fact that the host has not revealed the names of her alleged aggressors, different show programs began to point out that he was the producer Martín Arredondo, since both worked together on the program broadcast on Panamericana TV in in 2012.
One of those who began to mention Arredondo was Magaly Medina. “She says that the producer has been hosting on a local show for many years, that he had experience and a rather particular voice. At that time, the producer in “Public Enemies” was the former Sunday artist Martín Arredondo. If this accusation is true, it is very strong, (because) it speaks of several reporters harassed by this producer,” said the popular 'Urraca' on her program.
MARTIN ARREDONDO DEFENDED HIMSELF
Faced with the accusations, the journalist stated that he did work with the current host of 'Al Sexto Día', but that they met when he was single, so he asked that his family not be involved. He also pointed out that everything that the radio broadcaster has written is totally false, so he is open to collaborating with any which may be initiated by the judiciary or the Ministry of Women's Affairs to make their name completely clear.
On the other hand, he made it clear that the decision to remove Mónica Cabrejos from Public Enemies was not only his own, but for several days they discussed it with two other people: Aldo Miyashiro and Jorge Saquijada. Finally, he assured that since that day he has not communicated with the driver again.
WHO IN MARTIN ARREDONDO?
Martín Arredondo is one of the journalists with extensive experience in the field, having more than 19 years of experience. In 2010 he was working on the Sunday 'Final Punto' and as read on his social media profile, he was the first to interview the leaders of the Shining Path in the Vraem.
He has also been a producer on major Peruvian channels such as América Televisión and Panamericana TV. In addition, he is the host and director of the program 'Celebra Peru', which is broadcast on Movistar Plus. He currently has a YouTube program called #MartinConecta.
Despite all this, Arredondo gained greater popularity when he was awarded the position of general producer in “Public Enemies” where he decided to show himself in front of cameras and shared with the hosts of the live program until 2016, as they changed television houses.
Martín Arredondo with Aldo Miyashiro and some members of his production moved to América Televisión in 2017, changing the name to 'La Banda del Chino' and was working for another year until 2018. Later, he was stopped watching on television and today he has surprised to reveal that he is part of Willax Televisión.
