After the confirmation of the 200s Pop Tour, the wait because groups like RBD will reach the most important musical concept in recent years in Mexico was denied as soon as Ari Borovoy made its cast official. Despite this, people remained hopeful that some of its female members would get involved and although Dulce María has already joined, the initial offer went to Anahí.
According to the program Con Permiso, Sálvame's performer was the first person thought of when the idea of reviving the greatest Spanish-language pop classics of the new century was considered by BOBO Producciones. The idea was to be able to bring the songs of the Mexican band from the hand of what is considered to be the leader of the group, in addition to the fact that she already had a successful solo career before starring in Rebelde.
Apparently the idea was sent to him and there was never a “yes” or “no” back, so his silence was considered a refusal of the concept of the OV7 member. Although the drivers did not specify how long they had waited for Anahí's response or the contact form in which they sent her the job proposal, they did comment that as they had not received the expected confirmation, they decided to hire someone else instead.
After the revelation, Spanish-language pop music fans began to speculate that for this reason they immediately sought to have Dulce María on the tour, taking him away, according to them, the leading role that Paty Cantú maintained as the most successful soloist within the official Line Up of the concept. Now social networks have claimed to Ari Borovoy that he could not convince the interpreter of Me Hypnotizas, Mi Delirio or Until You Arrive.
“Ari had everything to get Anahí to return to the stage”, “It is not father that after waiting to see her at a concert hopes die just because they did not contact her directly”, “They imagine how incredible it would have been to see her perform with Corazón de Bombon while everything turned to pink”, “Those from the 2000s thought that we would never know that Any was the official one and that's why they gave us Dulce”, “It doesn't bother me that Dulce is the one who has that place, what bothers me is that she didn't convince the most important RBD to sing those classics,” Twitter users expressed.
With the announcement of the continuation of the already successful 90s Pop Tour, RBD positioned itself as the group most in demand by fans. Although some years ago this idea may have been crazy, with the return of their music to streaming platforms, their virtual concert and the possibilities that the Mexican band constantly gives on their social networks about more songs and a face-to-face world tour, everything seemed to be possible, although the reality is now different.
“About a year ago (we talked about it) I had a very good relationship with them, I was in RBD: La Familia, I have also known Dulce María, Anahí and Maite for many years, it's not something that seems to happen soon, we haven't talked about it thoroughly, but there is a very nice relationship, there is a very good relationship with all of them,” Borovoy told the magazine Caras 3 years ago. After raising the possibility, Ari did not receive a response as apparently now with Mia Colucci.
Since Inesperado Anahí has stayed away from music as far as her solo career is concerned, since in 2020 she premiered the song Siempre He Estado Aquí next to her RBD teammates.
