Once you enter, you must enter the license plate number of your vehicle and a security check and the status of your SOAT will automatically appear.

If your SOAT is Interseguro, another easy way to do so is to consult the following LINK or by sending an SMS to the number 90900 with your license plate number, with that you will receive an automatic response indicating the status of your insurance. It should be noted that there is no cost to this operation, so it will not be an extra charge on your next receipt or will spend your credit.

Also, if the last SOAT you purchased from Interseguro is electronic, you can find the certificate in your email inbox. You just have to put in the search bar of your main or spam box the email: websoat@interseguro.com.pe and the confirmation email with the electronic certificate will appear.

WHAT IS SOAT

SOAT stands for Compulsory Traffic Accident Insurance. This covers everything from bodily injuries that may be suffered by those involved in a misfortune to the death of any of them, whether they are occupants or third parties not occupying a vehicle who are victims of a traffic accident.

According to Supreme Decree No. 024-2002-MTC, no vehicle, whether private or public, can transit without having an active SOAT, if this happens it will be intervened by the authorities. For some years now, SOAT can be both physical and electronic and both provide you with the same coverage.

WHY IT IS IMPORTANT TO HAVE SOAT

Having the SOAT in force is important because this way the driver or owner of a vehicle who is involved in a traffic accident can use this insurance to cover the medical expenses or compensation of people who have been affected by the accident.

It should be noted that the fine for not having SOAT in force is 12% of ITU (this year ITU is worth S/. 4600) and retention of the vehicle. Avoid having a bad time and check the expiration date of your insurance so that you have it updated on any eventuality.
