(ATR) Christian Klaue, head of media at the German Olympic Sports Confederation, is moving to the IOC to strengthen its communications department.

"I will be responsible for the communication in the German-speaking countries," Klaue tells Around the Rings.

"Obviously there is a lot of interest for the president from Germany, which requires more communication in German than before," he said.

"But I will be part of the team and will take over other things, as well. I am looking forward to working in the communications team."

Klaue will start at the IOC on Sept. 1.

His replacement at the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) is yet to be announced.

Klaue has worked in the media department at the DOSB since Nov. 2009. Before that, he was a reporter at SID from Oct. 2004 until taking up the post a the NOC.
