Division group won the Wold Title in the small groups; Gold in the Dance Couples for Comin De Candido-Morandin
Yesterday in Reus a very important part of the Words ended with the conclusion of the Dance Couples competition.
It has been a enchanting show: the audience was completely overwhelmed by the technical and spectacular level of the exhibitions. The podium has been entirely conquered by the Italian team, and the three couples showed different marvellous programs with three different styles.
Gold medal for Melissa Comin De Candido and Daniel Morandin, silver for Elena Leoni and Alssandro Spigai, bronce for Sivlia Stibilj and Andrea Bassi.
Yesterday evening the Single athletes did the short programme beginning the competition, that continued today and will end tomorrow. In the ladies at the moment the rank is guided by the Italian Debora Sbei, whose elegance, technique and balance left without doubts the jury, who gave her a very high score. Second place for the Slovenian Lucjia Mlinaric. Third the Italian Silvia Nemesio.
In the male the competition was really competitive and balanced: every performance was made in the line of perfection. The Italian Andrea Girotto stood out for his incredibly marvellous and elegant way to skate. The Brazilian Gustavo Casado is second at the moment and the Italian Alessandro Amadesi is third. The difference in the score of the three is subtle, so tomorrow the competition will be completely open.
Today the starring role was for the small groups: the 19 groups coming from all the world exited the audience that filled the Pavellò Olimico of Reus.
Every choreography brought a different dream to the audience: Aztecan Empires,Victorian queens, Dracula, Amazonian warriors and wild african placed were aroused thanks to the splendid stage costumes and to the interpretation of the athletes.
Among the others, sttod out the participation of the South African team, for the first time in a World Championship.
In the end Division, an Italian group, won the title for the second time consecutively with "El lento conquistador": a funny "Speedy Gonzalez" mexican story, with high rhythm and great interpretation. Behind them two Spanish groups: L'Aldea C.P and Blanes Fundacio.
