Thursday, February 20 – Canadians have been consuming Olympic content online like never before. As of February 19, in advance of the Men's Ice Hockey Semi-Finals and the Women's Ice Hockey Final, CBC/Radio-Canada has streamed more than 8.3 million hours of video on its website (excluding the Mobile App). This is a record number for Canadians streaming Olympic Winter coverage online.

The Canada/Latvia Men's Ice Hockey game on February 19 posted the highest online viewing audience ever to a CBC live event, with an average audience of more than 280,000 on CBC and Radio-Canada’s desktop and mobile devices combined. This beats the previous record, also set during the Sochi 2014 games, for the first Men's Ice Hockey Game featuring Canada and Norway.

February 19 was also a remarkable day for Mobile, as the CBC Olympics App exceeded 2 million downloads on iOS and Android devices.
