The reason why Sebastián Martínez was about to reject his lead in 'Until silver do us'

The actor told why the role of Rafael Méndez did not catch his attention when he was proposed to work on the novel

It is just under a month before the release of the new version of 'Until silver separates us', a novel broadcast on RCN Television more than 15 years ago and which tells the story of Rafael Méndez (Sebastián Martínez), a humble merchant who changed his life when Alejandra Maldonado's car crashed (Carmen Villalobos), an entrepreneur in the automotive sector.

However, in a recent interview that the protagonist of the new production gave to People en Español, he confessed that he was about to reject the role because being part of this retread did not attract his attention, considering that the first version was quite successful.

Thanks to the insistence of the channel's president, the Antioquian actor gave the libretto a chance and decided to take advantage of the chance he has of starring in a comedy, something he had never done before.

People en Español also chatted with Carmen Villalobos about the challenge of participating in Fernando Gaitan's novel and, in their conversation, let it be known that it was an opportunity for which they had been waiting a long time.

It is key to note that 'Until silver separates' will be released on Telemundo on May 10 and although there have been quite a few criticisms, it was opted for a luxury cast that also includes actors Gregorio Pernía, Juliette Pardau, Fabián Ríos, Lorna Cepeda, Stephania Duque, Laura Flórez, Julián Arango, Marcela Benjumea, Alejandra Avila, Julio Sánchez Coccaro, Michelle Rouillard, among others.
