Mariana Echeverría made an impact on her social networks with a very special post. The member of Me caigo de risa shared her testimony about the physical changes she has undergone in recent years and, as a reflection, spoke about the diversity of bodies, stereotypes and body positive.
The host surprised her instagram followers by posing semi-naked for the camera, covering her intimate parts. As expected, the image did not go unnoticed by users of the platform and one of the reasons was the message it gave.
Mariana Echeverría unabasheverría acknowledged that at 37 years old her body has undergone major changes that are usually considered imperfections and, after making the passes with her physical appearance, she made the decision to show it naturally to raise awareness of the importance of breaking stereotypes.
“Today I dare to upload this photo of my body as it is; yes with a belly, yes with a chubby, yes with my sagging breasts, yes with scars, because I feel that it is necessary to remove the stereotypes of our lives”, he began.
Mariana Echeverría shared that many women identify with their feelings about stereotypes that, for years, have affected people's perception of their bodies and have ended up causing endless insecurities. Constant criticism hurts the perception of natural beauty and, for that reason, it is important to continue learning about body diversity.
“I am sure that many women identify with me and we know that none is perfect, we are all beautiful in the way we choose to be, we don't need to have the best body to feel good, let's learn to love each other as we are because in the end our body is the one that will keep us standing, the one that will feed our babies, the one who gives them life, the one who allows us to work,” he continued.
Based on her experience, the presenter shared a tip for all those people who receive negative reviews about their physical appearance, she mentioned that as far as possible it is better to ignore such comments: “If you know who you are and what you are worth, no matter what others say, your opinions do not define you as a person ”.
Finally, he explained that his message does not seek to fall into conformity or acceptance of bad eating habits and sedentary lifestyle, but rather to reflect on the impact that stereotypes have on everyday life and the importance of taking care of oneself without going to extremes. However, he commented that he is not against aesthetic operations and, laughingly, mentioned that one may be carried out in the future.
“Always look for the best version of you, within your possibilities, within your reach, time and money, because I am not against operations either, whoever wants can and feels good, go ahead (someday I will do it hahahaha). Your body is your home so it needs to be respected and loved, above perfectly imperfect bodies”, he concluded.
His publication resonated with his followers, who applauded that he raised his voice against stereotypes. Among the reactions, he highlighted the opinion of Regina Blandón, one of the Mexican artists who has spoken openly about body positive. On this occasion, she supported her former partner from Me caigo de lauga, agreed with her ideal and asked to abandon labels.
“Let's talk beautifully to ourselves and learn, above all, that there is NO OPINION about the foreign body. Point. It's re easy. Let's be cool with ourselves and the band, amix,” he wrote in the comment box.
