The story of Eduardo Vargas, the young man who lives in Huamachuco (La Libertad) and who was ripped off with a piece of glass when he bought a new cell phone in the city square last month of February, went viral and it was the program 'En Boca de Todos' that followed his case.
The regrettable event reached the ears of Christian Cueva, a player of the Peruvian football team, as well as those of his wife Pamela López, who, upon hearing what happened, promised to give him a laptop when the footballer arrived in the country, since he was in Saudi Arabia.
It should be noted that the athlete sympathized with the young student because he also lived in the same city during his childhood and his parents are also from the Liberteña mountains.

That is why this March 24, prior to the Peru vs Uruguay match, Eduardo Vargas was present on the set of América TV magazine along with his parents to receive the computer that the Peruvian national team promised him at the time.
“I was surprised and very exciting about the trip. It's my first time in Lima,” said the 19-year-old who is in high school minutes before receiving the laptop. It should be noted that thanks to the donations he received, he was able to buy a new cell phone.
“I needed to, but now because they have supported me, I feel very happy and very happy,” said Vargas with a smile on his face holding his new laptop and to which Maju Mantilla celebrated the happened. “You deserve it so that you continue to work hard and put a lot of dedication to your studies.”

HUAMACUCHO: CHRISTIAN CUEVA'S CHILDHOOD
Remember that Christian Cueva was born in Trujillo (La Libertad) in 1991 and moved to Huamachuco during his childhood in this city in the Liberteña mountains where his parents are originally from. The '10′ of the national team grew from the age of 2 in this beautiful town located almost four hours from Trujillo, capital of La Libertad.
Huamachuco, is one of the eight districts that make up the Andean province of Sánchez Carrión. Located 184 kilometers from the city of Trujillo and with an area of 424.13 square kilometers, its name means “Falcon Cap”, given its location in the middle of the Andes mountain range of the Liberteña Sierra.

Within the traditions, on August 14 and 15, its founding and patron saint's day is celebrated in honour of the Blessed Virgin of Alta Gracia with the traditional Parada del Gallardete. Concentrated in the Plaza de Armas, the stop begins of a eucalyptus tree of more than 40 meters, in the highest part of which a pennant with the national colors flames.
According to Agencia Andina, since 2011 the traditional Parada del Gallardete and the Feast of the Blessed Virgin of Alta Gracia has been declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Nation, since both events are recognized as a powerful source of identity of this province.
