The goal scored this Thursday by Colombian striker Rafael Santos Borré, Eintracht Frankfurt striker, against Barcelona has been chosen as the best goal of the second leg of the UEFA Europa League quarterfinals

The long shot of the 'coffee player', to which the German goal Marc Andre Ter Stegen could not respond, was the most voted ahead of those obtained by Barcelonista Sergio Busquets, Jarrod Bowen (West Ham) and Frenchman Christopher Nkunku (RB Leipzig)

It was Eintracht's second goal at Camp Nou, where he ended up winning 2-3 to seal his pass to the semifinals and the unexpected elimination of Barcelona.

The former player River Plate scored 2-0 for Eintracht Frankfurt, which hit the Europa League quarterfinals against Xavi Hernandez's Barcelona.

In the 36 minutes of the first half, Rafael Santos Borré took out an impossible mid-distance right for Ter Stegen, who made Camp Nou silent.

The score had a special connotation as the Colombian striker chose to dedicate it to the memory of Freddy Rincón, a historic Colombian player who died on the night of April 13 after a fatal traffic accident that caused severe craniocerebral trauma.

After the end of the meeting, Rafael Santos explained about his tribute:

Santos Borré also expressed himself for the incredible accompaniment that Eintracht Frankfurt had in Catalan territory:

Barcelona had possession of the ball. Frankfurt scored the goals. And the “culés” did not even win the duel in the stands, where approximately 30,000 fans of the German team loudly encouraged him.

In the UEFA Europa League semifinals, Eintracht Frankfurt will now face England's West Ham United.

The Catalan club was the favorite to win the only trophy missing in its showcases. He played for the first time in the Europa League and never won his predecessor contest, the UEFA Cup, in which he reached the semifinals four times, losing all of them.
