FROM 37% TO 100%

This capacity increase is authorized by the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC) and will allow 1200 passengers to be mobilized by train, who must always respect biosecurity measures in order to reduce the risk of coronavirus infection.

The authorities indicated that train drivers and users must use the mask during the entire trip, a KN95 or a three-fold surgical mask and another of their choice on top.

All windows should be kept open to allow greater air circulation.

They also indicated that the service operators must prove their full a href="https://www.infobae.com/america/colombia/2022/03/28/asi-sera-la-aplicacion-de-la-dosis-de-refuerzo-para-menores-de-12-a-17-anos/" rel="noopener noreferrer" vaccination schedule, and the booster dose against COVID-19 if they correspond to the age ranges. It should be noted that this requirement is not requested from passengers.

In addition, they pointed out that stations and trains will be disinfected daily, in addition to liquid or gel alcohol will be available at stations and inside cars.

Hours of operation on Lima and Callao Metro Line 1 are Monday to Saturday from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays from 5:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

FASTER SCROLLING

In the morning, at Bayóvar Station, there was a faster movement of passengers, who no longer had to make long queues of up to 3 blocks where they had to wait to enter the stations. This time, more entrance turnstiles were set up and the waiting time to enter the stations was much shorter.

However, the carriages were full of passengers as before the pandemic, due to the rush hour, in addition to the partial shutdown of carriers. In fact, at some stations such as Ayacucho, heading to San Juan de Lurigancho, there was no room for more passengers and several were left out of the train.
