The Ministry of the Interior (Mininter) incorporated into the Rewards Program the five fugitives involved in the Puente Tarata case, including former Secretary General of Government Palace, Bruno Pacheco; and two former officials of Provías Decentralized.

The inclusion of these five individuals was approved by the Rewards Against Crime Evaluation Commission (Cercri), which met this Thursday and established the amounts of the economic benefits offered to those who collaborate in their capture.

Thus, the list of the most wanted today contains the names of Bruno Pacheco Castillo, Fray Vasquez Castillo, Gian Marco Castillo Gomez, as well as the former officials of Provías Decentralizado, Edgar Vargas Mas and Alcides Villafuerte Vizcarra.

They are wanted for the alleged crimes of traffic in influence, aggravated collusion, criminal organization, use of false documents and false statements in administrative proceedings.

For Pacheco Castillo, Vargas Mas and Villafuerte Vizcarra, the amount of the respective reward was set at S/30 000; while for Vasquez Castillo and Castillo Gómez, the economic benefit was set at S/15 000.

These five people are still missing, following a search and arrest operation, executed last Monday by agents of the Peruvian National Police (PNP), in coordination with representatives of the Public Ministry.

This operation was requested by the Second Corporate Prosecutor for Corruption of Officials of Lima, which is investigating the Puente Tarata case and the alleged irregularities in Provías Decentralized, of the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MTC).

During the intervention, three of the 11 involved in the case were arrested, while three others subsequently surrendered to the judicial authorities, bringing the total to six detainees so far.

The remaining five fugitives are not yet located and are still under a preliminary detention order for 10 days, so their incorporation into the Mininter Rewards Program was approved by a majority in an extraordinary session of the Cercri.
