A borrowed vehicle, a red light and a technical malfunction became the perfect combo to turn an everyday situation into a love story that went viral on the networks.
It was three o'clock in the afternoon of Tuesday 15 when Lara Galmes (22) was driving home after training, with the company of a friend. When she reached the corner of General Paz and Salvador del Carril, in Santa Fe Capital, she was surprised by the red light and stopped for a few seconds of rigor until finally the light turned green. But something went wrong as the engine shut down and he was never able to start it again despite his insistent attempts.
Lara's Toyota Hilux was the first in line and as time went on more cars were piling up and the honks became stronger and louder. The motorists were in a hurry to drive and she didn't know what to do to get around that situation.
She needed yes or yes to move the van but it was impossible for her because she only had the help of her friend. Pedestrians looked at her, cyclists passed by her, and drivers just wanted to make their way through traffic. Nobody helped her.
However, her luck changed with the appearance of Eduardo, who selflessly stopped her departure and offered to help her. Lara took control of the steering wheel and both her friend and the young man pushed the van to the right cordon to leave it parked and managed to decompress the traffic jam that had been generated.
It all happened very quickly, and when she finished thanking him for what he had done, the young man disappeared into the crowd. A few blocks later he would regret not even asking her for the name to search for her on the networks and everything would lead to a request for help on Twitter to find the whereabouts of “the blonde of the 4x4″.
“If you are the blonde girl from Santa Fe and this Tuesday, March 15, you got the white 4x4 at the traffic lights of General Paz and Salvador del Carril, let me tell you that after helping you push I fell in love with you,” Eduardo Fazzio tweeted from his account @EduFazzio02 without warning the solidarity chain that would unleash his petition.
“Help me find her,” pleaded “El Cabezón”, as her intimates call it. In a matter of seconds, the tweet went viral and Lara's friends and acquaintances began to appear, who immediately showed her in the comments.
“Hahahaha what a shame about that situation, thank you very much for the help,” replied Lara, to whom Edu reminded him: “You're welcome, you were almost killed by those in the back.”
As the protagonists exchanged brief messages, tweeps began to stir so that the girl would confess whether Cupid's “crush” had been mutual. But she avoided answering and it was Eduardo himself, who hid behind a computer, joined courage and made a request: “Help me now, people ask for an explanation”.
Even that same afternoon, the young man was interviewed on Radio Rec and admitted that he had sent him a friend request on Instagram and that he was still waiting for a response. “My friends tell me to activate but he didn't even accept me. I don't think I'm going to ball”, resigned “El Cabezón”.
Lara, who is not yet amazed by the repercussion that tweet had, told Infobae that after she transcended her name on Twitter she received a flood of contact requests. “I had 800 new followers on Instagram, 1000 on Twitter and hundreds of messages from users asking me to give a ball not only to Eduardo but also to them,” the young woman admitted with laughter.
Unlike Eduardo's concern, who was a little down from Lara's face cut, she is worried about repairing the van. “It's from my dad, who is on vacation, and I used it to go to the gym. It was parked on that corner for several hours and only yesterday a trusted mechanic was able to go and look for it to be repaired,” he said.
Although on Twitter she preferred to call herself to silence and let everyone dare to think of an ending to this unexpected confession of love at first sight, Lara admitted that she is having a girlfriend and that it was her partner who echoed the tweet and immediately realized that they were talking about it.
“My boyfriend took it easy, he laughed at the situation, it was like a joke to him because he is not jealous at all,” said the young woman, who blew up social networks with her beauty and charm.
“The love story will not be able to be,” remarked the fan fan of “El Sabalero”, a painting of which Eduardo is also a fan. “Maybe one day we'll find ourselves on the court,” he slipped to put an end to the speculation and not generate false expectations.
