(ATR) World Curling president Kate Caithness joins ATRfrom Halifax, and the 2015 World Men's Curling Championship, to preview the road to the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The World Men's Curling Championship is underway in Halifax, capital of the Canadian province of Nova Scotia. Competition ends April 5.

Norway are the defending champions, hoping to secure their fifth title at the World Men's Curling Championship.

The World Women’s Championship ended in the Japanese city of Sapporo on March 22 with Switzerland defeating Canada in the final.

Caithness spoke with ATR upon arriving in Halifax for the men's championship to discuss the atmosphere in the city, and World Curling's perspective on preparations for the 2018 PyeongChang Games.

The Refugee Team for the Olympic Games was announced

The International Olympic Committee (IOC) unveiled this Thursday its largest refugee Olympic team to date for the Paris 2024 Games, with 36 athletes from 11 different countries. The athletes, some from Syria, Sudan, Iran, Afghanistan and Cuba, will compete in 12 sports.
