IOC Says No More Losses from Madoff Scandal
(ATR) The head of the IOC Finance Commission tells Around the Rings that a "very thorough combing" of the IOC investment portfolio shows no more than $4.8 million is at risk in the massive Ponzi scheme allegedly hatched by Wall Street financier Bernard Madoff.

ATR In The News: Georgia asks for 2014 Sochi Games to be moved over security concerns
(The Canadian Press) IOC spokeswoman Emmanuelle Moreau confirmed in an e-mail Wednesday that the IOC had received a letter from the Georgian national Olympic committee seeking relocation of the Games. She said she had no other immediate details or comment. "It (Sochi) is a very dangerous place," Ramaz Goglidze, first vice-president of the Georgian committee, was quoted as saying on the Around the Rings website.

(Black Sea Press) Ramaz Goglidze, first Vice President of the Georgian Olympic Committee, termed Sochi a "very dangerous place" on the Around the Rings website. Goglidze and Gia Natsvlishvili, the newly-elected President of the Georgian Olympic Committee, are to attend the General Assembly of European Olympic Committees in Istanbul, Turkey, on Friday and Saturday. They could raise the Sochi issue there.
