Mario Escobar, father of the 18-year-old girl who disappeared in Nuevo León, Debanhi Escobar, had his first encounter with the media after a body was rescued from the Nueva Castilla Motel, and transferred to Semefo.
During his first statements, he said he was angry that he was wrong to “believe in the Prosecutor's Office” and asked his family for forgiveness. “It was a lot of days and the prosecution didn't do its job,” he added.
“They came here 4, 5 or 6 times, I don't know how many, and they didn't do their job. Mr. Rodolfo Salinas was always very airtight, I was very respectful of his work. I thought there could be a change and there wasn't. 13 days later, they say, we're going to go again because there's a body,” Debanhi's father reported.
On the other hand, he assured that “there are guilty, yes, they must pay, yes, both involved and people of the Prosecutor's Office, publicly I say so”, and then he revealed that the result was not what his heart and that of his wife asked, wanted and demanded.
