Checo Pérez, a Mexican Formula 1 driver, finished the third race of the season in which he runs, in second place in the Australian Grand Prix winning the podium, while champion Max Verstappen came out of the race.

Verstappen's car had difficulties that left it out of the race for the second time of the three it has raced in the 2022 season.

While Charles Leclerc came first and English George Russell in third place.
