A body was found this Thursday morning floating in the waters of the canal of the “Virgilio Uribe” boating track, located in the Xochimilco mayor's office, in Mexico City.
According to the first reports, the body was found around 09:00 hours by a group of canoists, who alerted the personnel of the sports venue and the latter in turn to the authorities.
Preventive agents from the Tepepan Sector, elements of the Riparian Police and firefighters arrived at the scene, who took the body to a shore, where it remained for an hour until paramedics from the Rescue and Emergency Medical Squadron (ERUM) and personnel of the capital's Attorney General's Office came to carry out the surveys corresponding.
Paramedics confirmed that the unidentified victim was a man between 30 and 35 years of age, who showed no signs of violence, so it is presumed that he died by drowning.
