Randle and Barrett help Knicks beat Wizards

NEW YORK (AP) — Julius Randle had 18 points and 17 rebounds, RJ Barrett added the same number of units and the New York Knicks beat the Washington Wizards on Friday 100-97.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope missed a three-pointer that would have tied the match just as the horn sounded. The Wizards were thus doomed to their sixth defeat in a row.

Mitchell Robinson had 15 points and 12 rebounds, Evan Fournier added 15 points and Alec Burks finished with 12. The five Knicks starters provided double-digit figures.

The Knicks have won their last two matches, both at home, after falling on their previous two visits.

Kristaps Porzingis had 18 points and 11 rebounds, while Kyle Kuzma also finished with 18 points for the Wizards, who have lost nine out of 11 matches.
