The father of the “egg” Treviño threatened Nuevo Laredo officials over his son's birth certificate

A commando accompanied Treviño Chávez's father and his lawyer to intimidate civil registry staff for not having the document

The arrest of Juan Gerardo Treviño Chavez, El Huevo, leader of the Northeast Cartel on Sunday, 13 March, continues to provoke violence, even though he has already been extradited to the United States for continue its process.

One of the most recent events was reported on Wednesday by the government of Tamaulipas. In a statement, it was announced that a couple had gone to the first civil registry office in Nuevo Laredo to request the king's birth certificate.

According to the information, the people identified themselves as Treviño Chavez's lawyer and father, who assured that the only reason for their visit was to request the issuance of this document in whose name they claimed to represent.

However, officials indicated that the requested birth register was canceled on November 13, 2020, by administrative agreement issued by the General Coordination of the Civil Registry of the Government of Tamaulipas, as it was generated by the use of false data.

For this reason, the lawyer and the father of “El Huevo” were informed that it was impossible to make their request. The two immediately withdrew, but returned moments later accompanied by armed civilians with whom they threatened the institution's staff with demanding a birth certificate.

The staff complied with the order and found that there was really no way to issue the document. Since they did not accept no for an answer, the couple and the command, using force, demanded the issuance of some acknowledgement of the existence of the birth certificate mentioned.

This whole situation was noted by the staff of the office, as well as by the users who were inside the premises. So far, no material losses or people injured by this fact have been reported.

Finally, the authorities clarified that the relevant complaints were submitted to the Office of the Attorney-General of Justice and the Office of the Attorney-General for integration and investigation. It was also announced that the state government did not recognize the publication of any documents produced in this situation of violence against the officials of Tamaulipas.

He is named the top leader of the Northeast Cartel (CDN) and its armed wing, known as the Troop of Hell, with which he maintains a fierce struggle with Gulf Cartel cells, as well as territorial disputes against the old-school Zetas.

Prior to his capture, he had three arrest warrants: one in the state of Tamaulipas for extortion and criminal association, another in the state of Coahuila for intentional homicide and terrorism; and another for extradition on charges of conspiracy for drug trafficking and money laundering.

Treviño Chavez is the nephew of the bloodthirsty and last leader of the cartel in the last letter, Miguel Ángel Treviño Morales, the Z-40. El Huevo is the oldest member of another criminal group, Los Treviños, which has a long history in Tamaulipas.

According to a report by the Stratfor agency, El Huevo also intended to control the Monterrey metropolitan area. However, there was José Rodolfo Villareal Hernández, “El Gato”, who controls the region through the Los Beltrán Leyva cartel.
