A parliamentary group of the National Action Party (PAN) announced that it would reject a report to be delivered by the National Guard in the Senate of the Republic, claiming that the federal government's security strategy failed.

At a press conference, Senator Damián Zepeda Vidales did not achieve results because the strategy of public security, especially “militarization of the country”, is a clear failure.

Given his position, he said that this was a sufficient reason for the Senator of Acción Nacional to reject the National Guard report.

Zepeda Vidales also explained that there are currently 114,000 members of the National Guard in Mexico. However, he questioned the numbers claiming that, despite the large numbers, there is still a high level of anxiety.

Faced with this, he recalled in the Morena government that “there were already three times more murders” than the six-year term of former President Felipe Calderon, and twice as many as former President Enrique Peña Nieto.

Thus, he stated that of the total number of elements of the National Guard, about 90,000 people came from the army. “Where is the Civil Guard, which they promised? It is the fraud of the law, the fraud of the Constitution, and the National Guard is an absolute failure.”

Zepeda Vidales also stressed that she was not active on the part of the federal government. “The reality is that they are killing people, shooting people in Mexico, besieging cities, kidnapping, and robbing them. What is the government doing? There's nothing! They want the reform of the National Guard because they are on the path of militarization.”

Finally, the Sonoran politician called for the emergence of the Civil Security and Protection Secretariat and the head of the National Guard, in addition to an immediate change in the public security strategy.

Since last February, it is not the first time that a speech has collapsed due to the controversy faced by the President of Mexico against the administration of President Andres Manuel López Obrado by the Senator of the National Action Party.

According to a statement by Senator Panista, austerity and honesty, the two main badges of Tabasqueño's speech, surpassed the “terrible” results of López Obrador as Chief Executive Officer.

He was also convinced that the opposition could weaken the party that led López Obrador to his presidency, Moreno de Regeneration Nacional (Morena). He recalled that in last year's elections, other political groups were able to take over governors of various countries in the Republic, such as PAN. He joined the Civil Movement (MC) with Queretaro and Chihuahua, Nuevo Leon, and the Mexican Party of Green Ecologists (PVEM) in San Luis Potosí.

Among Zepeda's statements, one of the main criticisms was the economic sphere. He noted that more than 52 million people do not have enough income to eat, and 16 million Mexicans can be unemployed, low-employed or working.
