Despite an election in which he received zero votes after withdrawing his name, International Ski Federation president Johan Eliasch remains adamant in pursuing the Association of International Olympic Winter Sport’s Federations leadership position. A source close to FIS contends official procedures were not adhered to concerning the AIOWF’s recent General Assembly, and therefore the outcome of president Ivo Ferriani’s reelection should be invalid

Ivo Ferriani was unanimously elected president of SportAccord during the organization’s most recent Executive Committee Meeting. Ferriani adds the position to his collections of titles within the Olympic movement, which includes leading roles within the IBSF, AIOWF, and GAISF.
