ISSSTE: how to apply to the draws to receive a loan of up to 175 thousand pesos

Recently, the Institute for Social Security and Services for State Workers (ISSSTE) released detailed information so that workers interested in participating in the 2022 Personal Loan sweepstakes program, may be part of the more than 60 thousand credits that the institute will grant under this modality, which will work by date.

During the year, 20 draws are expected to take place and the next registration period to win up to 50,000 pesos, includes dates from April 6 to 15, so that the draw will take place on the 18th of the same month and the following day the results will be published. The regulatory director of Economic, Social and Cultural Benefits, Yezmín Lehmann Mendoza reported that 8,266 more loans will be granted this year than last year

However, out of the number of draws planned to take place between April and December 2022, ISSSTE will hold three special draws to commemorate Teacher's Day (May 16), Older Adult's Day (August 26) and Health Worker's Day (October 17), whereby these loans will only cover employees in the education sector, adults over 65 years of age and personnel from the health sector, respectively.

The amounts of the credits in these three cases could range from 117,000 pesos to 175,000 pesos and in order to participate in them, the following schedule must be followed:

1. Exclusive giveaway for education workers

Registration period: The entire education sector registered with the ISSSTE participates until May 13

Draw Date: May 16

Publication of results: May 17

2. Exclusive giveaway for adults over 65 years old

Registration period: All adults over 65 years of age or older registered with the ISSSTE until August 25 participate

Draw date: 26 August

Publication of results: August 27

3. Exclusive raffle for medical personnel and health sector

Registration period: Medical and health sector personnel registered with ISSSTE participate until 14 October

Draw Date: October 17

Publication of results: October 18

The requirements to apply for participation in the draw are as follows: be a minimum of six months old in the ISSSTE social security scheme; not have a current personal loan or a debt with the Institute for this purpose; and lastly, have a borrowing capacity that does not exceed 50 per cent of the worker's basic salary or 50 per cent of the value of the pension.

Registration to participate in the sweepstakes can be done through the following link: issste.gob.mx/asissste. In the event that the beneficiary is selected in this program, they will receive a confirmation email that will include the steps to follow to access the corresponding loan, whether ordinary or exclusive.

In order to access the official ISSSTE website and apply for personal benefit, it will be necessary to log in or register using the Unique Population Registrationb Key (CURP), after select the Benefits option that appears in the top menu and finally select the Personal Loans box. The type of loan that can be obtained is ordinary, special, commemorative or pensioner.
