Tous les acteurs le savaient dès le premier jour, même si beaucoup prétendaient le contraire : la préparation des Jeux de Paris 2024 allait être politique. Au moins les premières années, avant d’entrer dans une phase plus opérationnelle.

A quatre ans de l’événement, les faits confirment la prédiction. Certes, les athlètes participent au débat. Mais leurs voix peinent à se faire entendre derrière celles des dirigeants politiques. La « révision de projet » annoncée par les organisateurs pour la rentrée ne devrait pas inverser la tendance. Elle s’annonce même comme une foire d’empoigne entre le COJO et les élus des territoires concernés.
