The WKF president met with U.S. Olympic athletes with an eye on regaining Olympic inclusion

The WKF announced a new initiative to address sustainability in the sport of karate. The federation claims it’s new initiativ will propel karate to the forefront of sustainability in sports.

Participation in some of Karate’s top international competition series has been opened up to refugee athletes following a decision by the WKF Executive Committee. The move represents the next step towards the inclusion of refugee athletes in international sport.

Like many organizations, the WKF is closely monitoring the situation in Ukraine

They will hold a videoconference next week open to all national federations

Karate debuted at Tokyo 2020 Games but has been dropped by Paris 2024 program for unspecified reasons.

The sport made its debut at Tokyo 2020 but is currently off the program for Paris 2024.
