Isinbayeva Remains YOG Ambassador

The IOC said Russian pole vaulter Yelena Isinbayeva will remain a Youth Olympic Games ambassador for Nanjing 2014.

Isinbayeva made controversial comments at the 2013 Athletic World Championships in Moscow saying Russians have "normal" heterosexual relationships. She then clarified saying English is not her first language and her comments were misunderstood.

Former IOC president Jacques Rogge said the IOC would look into her role as an ambassador. An IOC spokesperson said Isinbayeva "is against any discrimination," Monday in a statement.
