ITTF-North America is excited to announce the launch of its new website: ITTFNorthAmerica.com and the opening of bids for the 2014-2016 ITTF-North American Events.

IPC VISTA2015 bids

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) on Thursday (13 June) announced a call for bids to host VISTA2015, which will be the seventh edition of the IPC's sports science conference.

The last three editions of VISTA were all held in Bonn, but the IPC is now opening the expression of interest to any city.

Peter Van de Vliet, IPC Medical and Scientific Director, said: "VISTA2013 was the most successful edition of the conference yet in terms of participant engagement and feedback. We are now hoping to attract a more widespread and diverse audience for the next conference, which will be held just a year prior to the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games."

ITU 2014 World Triathlon Series

The International Triathlon Union (ITU) has opened bidding for the 2014 World Triathlon Series to all National Federations and cities interested in hosting one of the eight flagship events.

The elected cities will join Hamburg, London, Yokohama and Auckland as confirmed hosts of the popular race series. Edmonton, Canada will also host the 2014 ITU Triathlon World Championship Grand Final.

ITU 2015 World Triathlon Championships

The International Triathlon Union (ITU) has opened bidding for the World Triathlon Championships 2015 to all National Federations and cities interested in hosting the final race of the 2015 World Triathlon Series.

"ITU is committed to hosting top level events in iconic cities," ITU President and IOC Member Marisol Casado said. "As our sport continues to rise in popularity, we believe hosting the ITU World Triathlon Championships offers cities the possibility to showcase their city to a global audience."

In 2009, the championships were revamped, expanding the former single-day World Championship race into an exciting multi-city global series, during which athletes vie for prize money totaling more than $2 million USD. The series culminates with the ITU World Triathlon Championships, which will continue to be called the World Triathlon Grand Final through 2013.

Paralympic Sport Club Development Program

U.S. Paralympics, a division of the United States Olympic Committee, today launched the Paralympic Sport Club Development Program, a new initiative designed to support grassroots organizations that are committed to providing sustainable Paralympic sports programming that strengthens the athlete pipeline to the U.S. Paralympic Team. Paralympic Sport Clubs that participate in the three-level program will receive recognition and awards designed to help organizations honor achievements and further pursue excellence within the Paralympic Movement.

Toronto 2015 IGNITE Program

The IGNITE program is a community partnership enabling individuals, organizations and communities to be associated with the Games, and hopes to encompass the projects and events that are inspired by the Games coming to the region.

From Niagara Falls to Oshawa to Caledon, IGNITE offers communities the opportunity to leverage the Games to increase awareness for their projects. IGNITE also aspires to create initiatives that will continue to flourish post-Games.

Celebrate It Scotland

A £4m fund has opened to allow people around Scotland to mark the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The Celebrate scheme will offer Lottery funding of between £500 and £10,000 to arts, heritage, sports and community groups to hold one-off events. These can focus on the Games themselves or Scotland's links to the 71 nations and territories of the Commonwealth.

ISA Individual Scholarship Program

The ISA is proud to continue to award academic surf scholarships to Under-18 junior surfers from all over the globe. The ISA Individual Scholarship Program was established in 2007, and in its six year history has awarded 172 individual scholarships and a total of $128,500. This year, the ISA will award 50 individual $1,000 scholarships, a total of $50,000.

The World Olympians Association [WOA], the member organisation of all Olympians established to help support Olympians around the world and promote Olympism in the community, has launched a tender process to recruit a digital agency partner.

The successful digital consultancy will be tasked to re-design and modernise the organisation’s online platforms, including creating a new website and integrating social media tools. The appointed agency will also have a broad range of responsibilities to develop and manage the WOA’s online content such as a new Online Olympic Reunion Center, the President’s Blog and the WOA Twitter and Facebook presence. Turkmenistan

The State Committee for Sport has announced an international tender for the design and construction of new sports facilities in Ashgabat and other velayats (regions). It is planned to construct a new sports school specialising in chess and checkers in the Turkmen capital. One of the most important facilities to be built in Ashgabat is the Olympic Training Centre that will include sports training bases and a scientific and research laboratory.

FIBA

FIBA issued an invitation to submit proposals aimed at appointing a worldwide licensing representative responsible for developing its licensing program and those of its major upcoming competitions. The purpose of the licensing program is to promote the competitions in the host countries and around the world. Competitions belonging to the program include the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and the 2014 FIBA World Championship for Women, and may also extend to eight of the 2013 FIBA Continental Zone Championships: the FIBA Africa Championships (Men & Women), the FIBA Americas Championships (Men & Women), the FIBA Asia Championships (Men & Women) and the FIBA Oceania Championships (Men & Women) (FIBA).

ICC Cricket World Cup 2015

The Local Organising Committee (LOC) of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) from suitably qualified companies for the provision of media buying services.

EOI submissions will be evaluated against specific criteria with respondents who qualify then invited to prepare detailed proposals as part of a tender process. Ultimately, the successful company will work closely with the LOC which has offices in Melbourne, Australia and Wellington, New Zealand. The ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 will be played in venues across both countries in February and March 2015.
