(ATR) South Korea will hold working talks with North Korea regarding the upcoming Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea. The games will take place from September 19th to October 4th.
On Friday, South Korea agreed to stage a discussion with North Korea to work out accommodation details for the 150 athletes North Korea plans to send to the Games.
North Korea’s participation in the 2014 Asian Games marks the first time in over a decade that it will participate in a major sporting event in South Korea. The two countries are still technically at war, having not signed a peace treaty at the end of the Korean War in 1953.
Only last week did North Korea confirm which athletes would participate in the Games.
