Auvita Rapilla andBaklai Temengil .(ATR) Auvita Rapilla is the first IOC member from Papua New Guinea. Actively involved in sports administration in PNG, she’s been secretary general of the NOC since 2011. A member of the IOC class of 2016, she serves on four commissions including Ethics and Paris 2024.
Baklai Temengil has been secretary general of the Palau NOC since 1998. She’s the first woman from Micronesia named to the IOC. Temengil has held posts for the government of Palau, which with only 18,000 people is number four on the list of the least populous nations in the world. Temengil joined the IOC in 2017.
