Internazionale snatched all three points from Lazio in a 2-1 victory on Sunday, at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza. Inter were keen to hang onto their position at the top of league and extend their winning run after winning their previous two matches in the competition. The most recent was against the Torino at home (1-0), the other to Salernitana away (5-0). Lazio, on the other hand, secured a point against Empoli in their previous match. Following today's result, Inter are in 1st place, with 49 points from 21 matches, while Lazio sit in 6th, with 32 points from 21.

Inter started strongly in the first half, with Alessandro Bastoni finding the net at the 30 minute mark. However, their celebrations were kept brief, as Ciro Immobile equalised for The White and Sky Blues, 35 minutes in, finalising the first half 1-1.

Nerazzurri continued to apply pressure in the second and were rewarded, thanks to a goal from Milan Skriniar at the 67 minute mark and seeing the game end 2-1.

For Inter, Edin Dzeko, Joaquin Correa, Matteo Darmian, Arturo Vidal and Federico Dimarco, came on for Lautaro Martinez, Alexis Sanchez, Denzel Dumfries, Nicolo Barella and Ivan Perisic. Lazio brought on Mattia Zaccagni, Lucas Leiva, Luis Alberto and Manuel Lazzari for Felipe Anderson, Danilo Cataldi, Toma Basic and Elseid Hysaj.

There were bookings for Arturo Vidal from Inter. For Lazio, Luiz Felipe, Toma Basic, Mattia Zaccagni and Stefan Radu saw yellow.

Inter next face Atalanta and Lazio are away to Salernitana.
