(ATR) Ashgabat is turning its attention to staging the 2017 Asian and Indoor and Martial Arts Games--and possibly an Olympic bid.

Over 30 members of the media traveled to Ashgabat this week for the Turkmenistan International Sports Media Forumand a preview of the city's plans to host the 2017 AIMAG.

Media also toured developments at the Ashgabat Olympic Center.

The trip included VIP access to the Asiada conference which covered a range of topics including how Olympic Agenda 2020 is making an impact and what is now needed to become a sports capital.

Around the Rings director of business development Ed Hula III was among media at the forum this week.
