(ATR) Three traditional sports headlined the early competition at the Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer.

Alpine skiing produced the first gold medalist of the YOG on Friday with 17-year-old Nadine Fest of Austria winning the women's super-G.

River Radamus of the USA has won two gold medals on the men's side.

In ice hockey, the home country of Norway faced off against the USA while IOC president Thomas Bach was out at the luge venue to take in the men's singles event, which was won by LatvianKristers Aparjods.
