(ATR) IOC Olympic Games executive director says only "little issues" have come up during the Sochi Olympics.
Felli made the comments during a joint press briefing with Sochi 2014 CEO Dmitry Chernyshenko.
"We are doing well, very happy with the start here," Felli said.
"We had little issues that didn’t work as fully expected at the beginning. It has been corrected very quickly."
Chernyshenko even had a quip for Sochi’s critics.
"Surprisingly, it sounds like nobody expected it would be as good as this."
Two Broken Legs for Sliding Track Worker
Sochi 2014 head of communications Aleksandra Kosterina said the worker was treated overnight for the injuries sustained, and he was in stable condition following a successful operation.
She declined to speculate on what led to him being on the track after a signal was given to clear the track, saying investigations were still continuing.
Chernyshenko said the safety of the track was not a potential cause of the accident, saying the track met "the highest standards of safety."
