Montreux, Switzerland.(ATR) The next IOC Executive Board meeting will be held inMontreux, Switzerland from Oct. 22 - 24.

The EB will reviewfinal recommendations for Olympic Agenda 2020 reforms and possible nominations for new members.

The Executive Board plans to assess the Gambian National Olympic Committee and make"appropriate decisions" regarding the GNOC. The government of Gambia and the GNOC have been locked in disagreements for more than a year. The impasse could lead to the GNOC's suspension.

IWGA Visits Last Candidate City for 2021 World Games

The 2021 World Games evaluation committee will visit Lima, Peru from Oct. 27 - 31.

Lima is the third and final candidate city the evaluation committee will visit, having visited Ufa, Russia, and Birmingham, United States earlier this month.

IAAF Visits Candidate Cities for 2019 World Championships

The International Association of Athletics Federations will evaluate two 2019 World Championship candidate cities this week.

Eugene, United States and Doha, Qatar will host the evaluation commission on Oct. 26 – 27 and Oct. 30 – 31 respectively. The commission visited Barcelona on Oct. 14 - 15.

A host city will be selected by the IAAF Council during its Nov. 18 meeting in Monaco.

Final Inspection for Kreischberg 2015

Final technical inspections on coursesfor the 2015 Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships begin Oct. 20 at the Kreischberg Ski Resort in Austria.

This marks the first combined freestyle ski and snowboard world championships for the International Ski Federation (FIS).

Competition for the 2015 FISFreestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships takes place Jan. 16-25.

2014 Asian Para Games

The 2014 Asian Para Games are underway in Incheon, South Korea.

The seven-a-side football, sitting volleyball, and wheelchair tennis tournaments are serving as qualifiers for the Rio 2016 Paralympics.

Approximately 4,500 athletes from 41 countries will compete in 23 sports.The second edition of the Asian Para Games closes Oct. 24.

American Continental Shooting Championships

The International Shooting Sport Federation concludes the 2014 American Continental Championships in Guadalajara, Mexico Oct. 20.

The championships served as a qualifying event for the 2016 Rio Olympics.
