FIFA Candidate Van Praag Denies UEFA Plot to Oust Blatter

(ATR) The Dutch FA chief says he wants to "normalize" FIFA in one four-year term.

(ATR) Dutch FA chief Michael Van Praag says he wants to "normalize" FIFA in one four-year term after the wave of scandals that have tarnished Sepp Blatter’s leadership.

Delivering his speech in English at a press conference in Amsterdam today, the 67-year-old, an outspoken critic of the Swiss, announced that he had submitted sent a letter for his candidacy to FIFA on Tuesday with the six nominations of support from the FAs of Belgium, Sweden, Scotland, Romania, the Faroe Islands and the Netherlands.

"As president of FIFA, I want to hold on to the good things FIFA has achieved, but I also want to do things differently to Mr. Blatter," he told around 60 journalists gathered at the 1928 Olympic Stadium.
