U.S. Olympic Committee Releases Schedule for 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Pre-Competition Press Conferences

In preparation for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, slated to begin Aug. 5, the United States Olympic Committee today announced the schedule for pre-competition press conferences.

In preparation for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, slated to begin Aug. 5, the United States Olympic Committee today announced the schedule for pre-competition press conferences.

Pre-competition press conferences for Team USA are scheduled from July 31- Aug. 17. All conferences will take place at the Main Press Center, located in the Olympic Park, and will feature appearances from select U.S. athletes, coaches and delegation staff. Team USA press conferences will generally consist of opening statements, a Q&A and breakout sessions.

In addition to athletes and teams, members of the USOC delegation, including Chairman Larry Probst, CEO Scott Blackmun, Chef de Mission Alan Ashley and others will be available to the media Aug. 5 at 10 a.m.

All press conferences held at the MPC are accessible to those with Rio 2016 media accreditation. Please note that all press conferences dates, times and speakers are subject to change. Further announcements and updates will be sent via email and posted to TeamUSA.org.

Members of the media may visit TeamUSA.org/Rio2016 for all the latest information about the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team. For the first time, the U.S. Olympic Team microsite will offer live Team USA results, as well as athlete biographies, sport previews, historical records, competition schedules, and facts and figures about the U.S. delegation.
