(ATR)The sixth edition of the City Events conference will provide an open forum for leaders of the Olympic movement to discuss the Olympic Agenda 2020 reforms brought about by IOC president Thomas Bach.

The conference will feature a keynote panel discussion with past and future host city delegates where members describe the impact of Agenda 2020 on host cities and territories.On the second day of the conference, members of the IOC and international federations will attend a workshop with private event organizers to discuss and debate the global influence of these reforms.

Host Cities Summit in Dubai

There is only one week until the fourth edition of the Host Cities summit in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The conference will take place on Nov. 18-19 bringing together an international community of over 200 experts in the field of sports and event management.

The theme of the summit is "Embracing Future Events" and will identify trends in the city strategies for bids, engagement, sponsorship and funding in order to share knowledge that can be applied to different events.

The United Arab Emirates will host the World Expo in 2020, and Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State, Board Representative of Expo 2020 Dubai Higher Committee will deliver the keynote address for the conference.

The conference has already assembled a strong list of presenters and speakers, including IAAF president Seb Coe, director of sport for London 2012 Debbie Jevans, secretary general for FAI Susanne Schodel and president of the World Badminton Federation Poul Hoyer.

Intercollegiate Athletics Forum

The 2015 IMG Intercollegiate Athletics Forum is set for Dec. 9-10 at the Marriott Marquis hotel in New York City.

The forum will feature case studies, roundtable discussions and featured interviews about the growth of collegiate athletics.

Speakers for the forum include Mark Emmert, President of the National Collegiate Athletic Association, Tom McMillen, President and CEO, Division 1A Athletic Directors Association, David Stern, former commissioner of the National Basketball Association, and more.

Eurovision Academy

The European Broadcast Union is offering a two-day course on Social Media for EBU members.

Dubbed the Eurovision Academy, it will take place from Dec.7-8 at EBU Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland.

Registration will be open until Dec. 7, and is intended for journalists, reporters, web editors, multimedia managers, communications officers, and project managers.

Justin Kings, an international media consultant, will lead the faculty in charge of the academy.
