Monaco - The 49th IAAF Congress and 14th edition of the IAAF World Championships are at the core of a packed schedule of events in Moscow, Russia, during the next fortnight.

Monday 5 August

IAAF Council Meeting, Radisson Royal Hotel (all day)

There will be no formal media briefing. A summary of news and decisions taken will be published on the IAAF website.

Wednesday 7 August

49th IAAF Congress – Day 1: IAAF World Athletics Forum, Congress Centre, Crowne Plaza (all day)

The Media Centre at IAAF Congress is situated in the Ladoga Hall at the Congress Centre, Crowne Plaza. This is a fully equipped facility with internet connection, and media will be able to view the plenary sessions via video link.

WHO: IAAF General Secretary Essar Gabriel and IAAF Ambassadors Tegla Loroupe, Paula Radcliffe and Frank Fredericks

MEDIA ACCESS: Media who are accredited for the IAAF World Championships have access to the IAAF Congress Media Centre and Press Briefing BUT must confirm attendance by email detailing their name and media organisation.

Thursday 8 August

49th IAAF Congress – Day 2: Working Session, Congress Centre, Crowne Plaza (all day)

The Media Centre at IAAF Congress is situated in the Ladoga Hall at the Congress Centre, Crowne Plaza. This is a fully equipped facility with internet connection, and media will be able to view the day’s working session via a video link.

IAAF Council meets with the Executive Board of the International Olympic Committee (morning)

WHO: IAAF President Lamine Diack and IOC President Jacques Rogge

MEDIA ACCESS: Media who are accredited for the IAAF World Championships have access to this press conference – no further action is required.

Media without accreditation for the IAAF World Championships must confirm attendance by email by 0900hrs 9 Aug latest detailing their name and media organisation.

Saturday 10 Aug to Sunday 18 August

IAAF World Championships, Moscow 2013, Luzhniki Stadium

‘Meet the Champions’ – celebrating 30 years of the IAAF World Championships (Daily beginning Saturday 10 August)

These IAAF Ambassador Programme Press Conferences will take place daily at the press conference room at the stadium between competition sessions - times and details will be published in the main Media Centre at the stadium.

These daily conferences will be hosted by Joanna Hayes, 2004 Olympic champion, and over the course of nine days will feature 20 legends of athletics such as Jackie Joyner Kersee, Svetlana Masterkova, Edwin Moses, Jan Zelezny, Tatyana Lebedeva, Kajsa Bergqvist… each one an IAAF Ambassador.

Sunday 18 August

IAAF Press Conference, Luzhniki Stadium – PM

Prior to start of final competition session – exact time and details will be published in the main Media Centre at the stadium.
